The North Leeds Charity Beer & Music Festival 2026 returns to Roundhay for a weekend celebrating real ale, live music, local food, and community spirit on Friday 10th April (5-11pm) and Saturday 11th April (12–11pm). Organised by the Rotary Club of Roundhay, the festival has become a highlight of the spring calendar, bringing together beer enthusiasts, music lovers, families, and the wider community for an experience that is as much about fun as it is about giving back. Since its launch in 2012, the festival has raised over £102,500, supporting local charities, community projects, and Rotary initiatives, making every visit both enjoyable and meaningful.
Real Ale and Yorkshire Breweries
At the heart of the festival is a celebration of Yorkshire’s finest traditional real ales. Breweries including Kirkstall Brewery, Leeds Brewery, Ossett Brewery, Rooster’s Brewery, Wishbone Brewery, Craven Brew Co, Daleside Brewery, and Chin Chin will bring their distinctive flavours – from crisp, refreshing ales to rich, full-bodied brews – offering something for every palate. Visitors can explore a wide range of beers, discover new favourites, and enjoy the depth and diversity of Yorkshire brewing.
Gin, Prosecco, and other Drinks
For those seeking alternatives to ale, the festival provides a dedicated gin and prosecco bar, alongside a club bar serving soft drinks and other beverages. Gluten-free beers and zero-alcohol options ensure that everyone can join in the fun.
Live Music
Music is central to the North Leeds Beer Festival 2026. On Friday 10th April, the sophisticated swing of the Stroke of Genius Band kicks things off, followed by acoustic jazz and blues from Topaz, and a lively set of soul, funk, pop, and rock from Elevation Avenue.
Saturday 11th April continues with the all-female Pop ‘n Rock Choir, acoustic jazz and blues from CCEasy, electric blues from Kinda Blue, and party music from Scott and the Antarctics. Special highlights include the reunion of Roundhay School alumni band the Swamp Donkeys after 33 years, rising rock band Setlist, and the closing performance from Sicknotes of Cawood, blending rockabilly and modern classics with a new female vocalist. With such variety, the music programme caters to all tastes and guarantees a lively festival atmosphere.
Food All Weekend
Festivalgoers can enjoy a range of delicious food, including Setchfield Butchers Pork Pie & Peas and Mrs Singh’s samosas. Food is served all weekend, providing a perfect complement to the festival drinks and music.
Family-Friendly Saturday Afternoon
Saturday 11 April, 12:00–5:30 pm, is dedicated to families. Children can enjoy face painting, safe play areas, games, and activities, while snacks are available for a small charge. Children attend free with a paying adult, making this a safe and fun day out for the whole family.
Dog-Friendly
Well-behaved dogs are welcome, allowing four-legged friends to enjoy the festival alongside their owners.
Charity and Community Impact
Proceeds from the festival support local youth projects, health and social care programmes, and broader Rotary initiatives. Every ticket purchased contributes to a positive impact in Leeds and beyond, letting attendees enjoy themselves while giving back to the community.
