St Gemma’s Hospice is a Leeds-based charity providing expert care and support for local people with terminal and life-limiting illnesses.
Opened in 1978 we are the largest hospice in Yorkshire and one of the largest in England. We offer specialist medical and nursing care to thousands of local people each year and offers invaluable support to their families and friends.
We have quantified the GHG emissions across our entire operation (10.56 tonnes CO2e), inclusive of all Scope 1, 2 and 3 emission sources, and offset these emissions through the purchase and retirement of carbon credits. The project selected to offset our GHG emissions is Biodiverse Reforestation Carbon Offsets in the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor, Western Australia.
