Let's celebrate together
Thank you for all your lovely comments and reviews; it’s great to hear your opinions both positive and negative, this helps me grow your local magazine into what you want it to be. Do not hesitate to drop me an email if there is something you’d like to see more or less of.
I promote local businesses and cover a wide range of topics both in print and on socials. If you are enjoying your free independent local magazine you can support my efforts with a simple follow on one or all of my social media accounts.
If you’d like additional copies of THAT LEEDS MAG to share with your friends, these can be collected from Kirby’s of Meanwood, Headingley HEART and the Welcome In Community Centre LS16 or purchase here for postage.
Are you starting to feel a bit of a buzz in the air for the Queen’s Jubilee and a summer with no Covid restrictions?
Thinking of Queen Elizabeth II always makes me think of my late Granddad who was just 6 months older than Her Majesty. These traditional events are such a lovely way to bring the generations and community together. A highlight will be Trooping the Colour at 10am on Thursday 2nd June,
I wonder who will actually be on the balcony waving back at us with the royal family now being so disjointed (I suppose they are a lot like us in that respect, it’s all just a lot more public).
Whatever you are doing, I hope you enjoy the double Bank Holiday!
For this edition I’ve skipped the interview and replaced it with details of a thrilling adventure being undertaken by Declan Faherty AKA Moortown Plastering. He is currently cycling in the frozen tundra of Alaska.
Regular contributor Mike Roberts from Making Digital Real provides some information on how school leavers and graduates (or anyone looking for work) might start their journey onto LinkedIn to market themselves.
Chris Wilson has provided an insightful article into the challenge of men in midlife. A great read to improve our understanding of andropause.
Plus, we have some top tips from The North Kind, Stacey Harrison, she shares a few ideas on how to introduce mindfulness to children.
A big thank you to the amazing businesses who advertise in THAT LEEDS MAG and make it possible, you can search for a service you need in the online directory.
The community is full of brilliant people with stories to tell, if you would like to be featured please get in touch.
