Headingley Enterprise and Arts Centre (HEART) is the arts, enterprise and community centre in the middle of Headingley run by the community for the community.
HEART exists thanks to the efforts of Headingley Development Trust that worked hard to keep Headingley Primary School (closed in 2006) in community use. After a wonderful refurbishment the school reopened as a Community Arts Centre in January 2011. They are truly making the best of 2021 by celebrating their 10th anniversary.
HEART offers a versatile venue to hire, a spacious shared workspace and a varied programme of events and classes.
Visit them for fun or for work, but make sure you stop by Assembly Bar + Kitchen nestled inside the building – a great place to grab some lunch with family, friends or colleagues.
Events @ HEART
There’s always something happening at Heart, a hub of live music, film and performance.
Tuesday Night Live is the ever popular live music session. Heart also hosts Soundbites regular poetry open mics, Courtyard Classics and one off gigs.
Films @ Heart host the virtual Lockdown Film Club whilst Food and Film nights return in person, showcasing cinema and culinary delights from around the globe.
Scarlarama host an exciting programme of summer screenings.
Hyde Park Picture House are here with Hyde & Seek once a month showing films that are fun for all the family.

Assembly Bar + Kitchen
Assembly Bar + Kitchen is open 9am – 9pm Monday to Saturday, with Sunday openings launching with a bespoke menu starting in September 2021!
The friendly staff can serve you inside the vibrant café or you can order via our app from the Courtyard or Tiny Boo soft play.
Enjoy barista coffee or a glass of wine with one of the delicious cakes and biscuits. Tuck in to a big breakfast or order something new from our daily specials board.
Come along to a special event like the School Dinners or Beer and Food Pairing Evening.
arts @ heart
Art is not just in their name, but all over the wonderful building. The café, corridors and meeting rooms exhibit local artists’ work, which is available for purchase.
Each of the meeting rooms homes a piece commissioned to celebrate the local area and HEART’s 10th Birthday.
The Heart Big Bunting Project has drawn to a close with everyone’s amazing embroidery now on display.
Their Secret Art Sale has begun! Create an original artwork (12cm x 12cm) and donate it to be framed and hung at HEART in Ridge meeting room. Supporters can buy tickets to the gallery evening and take home a mystery piece of art matching their ticket number.

Pulse is the shared workspace open to anyone looking for a flexible, spacious, and friendly shared office to work and meet in Leeds.
