Roundhay amateur dramatics AKA RoCo is an amateur dramatics society, held at St Andrew’s United Reformed church in Roundhay. The group was originally formed in 1963 and has staged many plays over the years, from comedies to classics, mysteries to musicals.

We typically stage three productions a year, one of which being a murder mystery. We also have our Junior RoCo group, which is available for younger participants between the ages of 8-16, looking to get involved with RoCo amdram activities.

2023 marks RoCo’s 60th Anniversary and we are staging a special pantomime production in celebration! ‘The Return Of The Ring’ is an original family pantomime adventure, written by Sheila Telfer and directed by Alice Rayner. The production brings together a large cast and crew of both new and familiar RoCo faces, including a large ensemble of our Junior RoCo members. Everybody is hard at work in preparation for the performance dates in November, for what is set to be a very lively production!

RoCo always welcomes new members from across Leeds, both on stage and behind the scenes. Whether you are interested in treading the boards, helping out with stage crew, producing, prompting, make-up and stage management etc, we’d love to meet you!
